Content, Curated: How King's Dream Supported Aide-Mémoire's Online Shelf Space

Who Is Aide-Mémoire
Aide-Mémoire is a brick-and-mortar jewelry shop in Seattle's Phinneywood neighborhood, built around a simple premise: fine jewelry doesn't have to come at the expense of the people who make it or the planet it's made from. The shop carries handcrafted engagement rings, wedding bands, stacking rings, earrings, and necklaces — including lab-grown gemstone options — sourced from makers the shop vets directly for fair labor practices and environmental impact.
Just as deliberately, Aide-Mémoire curates who it sells for, prioritizing artists from the LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and women-led business communities. That combination — ethical sourcing plus intentional representation — is a lot of nuance to carry in a social media feed, which is exactly the challenge owner Aran Galligan brought to King's Dream.
The Challenge
Running a values-driven storefront is a full-time job on its own, and keeping a steady, well-paced social media presence on top of it is easy to let slip. Aide-Mémoire needed its online content to carry the same care as its in-store curation — without that becoming one more thing on Aran's plate.
What King's Dream Delivered
King's Dream took on Aide-Mémoire's social media management as part of our Essentials plan, starting with a discovery call to understand the shop's values, product lines, and voice. From there, our team built out a recurring content calendar: product-forward posts for Instagram featuring the shop's handcrafted pieces, written copy built around the brand's eco-conscious and inclusive positioning, and a running library of product photography supplied directly by the Aide-Mémoire team.
As the engagement progressed, the content strategy evolved with it — shifting a portion of the monthly content plan toward Pinterest, where keyword-driven posts (think "stacking rings," "dainty jewelry," "eco-friendly jewelry") could help new shoppers discover the shop's pieces while they were actively searching and planning. Each month's content was built in advance and shared with Aran for review and approval before it went live, so the shop's voice stayed in her hands even as the posting itself didn't.
"Aide-Mémoire's whole model is about intention — who makes the jewelry, what it's made from, who gets to be seen wearing it. Our job was to make sure the shop's online presence carried that same intention, month after month, without adding to Aran's workload."
Takeaway
A values-driven small business doesn't have to choose between telling its story well and staying focused on the floor. With a steady content calendar and a team that understood what made the shop's sourcing and curation worth talking about, Aide-Mémoire kept its online presence consistent with what made the shop distinctive in the first place.
